Before your treatment:

• No waxing or threading on the face for 7 days before.
• No peels or any other aesthetic in salon treatments for 14 days before.
• Stop the use of actives like retinols, exfoliators or any AHA’s 4 days before. A gentle, simple homecare routine is best.
• Wear your SPF 50 everyday and be extra aware of sun exposure ie wear sunglasses and a hat when outdoors and re-apply your SPF often.

Post-Care

• It is normal to feel mild redness, sensitivity, a mild sunburnt feeling for the first 24-48 hours. 
• Itchiness and mild swelling may also occur at this time.
• No sweaty/intense exercise for 48 hours post treatment.
• No hot baths, sauna’s or steam baths for 48 hours post treatment.
• Use your provided after-care cream once 3 hours post treatment and then again just before bed on the first day. No other cleansing or products please. Thereafter use as your moisturiser 2x per day until finished.
• It is optional but suggested that you purchase your HOCL Rescue Mist (R250) to help calm and heal your skin.
• No make-up or SPF on the day of your treatment, SPF and light make-up can be worn from the next morning.
• Keep your skincare routine simple and gentle for the first 5-7 days. AM; Cleanse, HOCL, Moisturiser, SPF. PM : Cleanse, HOCL, Moisturiser.
• Very important to wear your SPF from day 2 onwards everyday, re-applying often and stay out of the sun for 2 weeks.

• Mild flakiness, dryness and itchiness may occur from day 3 onwards sometimes up to ten days post treatment but usually all healing is done by day 3-5.
• The neck and decollete often feels more sensitive and reacts more intensely than the face and may take slightly longer to heal.
• Actives (retinols, AHA’s etc) can be resumed from day 7.

The downtime from this treatment is minimal and  most skins heal quickly but please keep in contact with me if you have any concerns.
